Examination and Promotion

Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) is the assessments system followed up to secondary level of education. It incorporates both scholastic and co- scholastic aspects of evaluation spread over the total span of institutional time. It helps the learners to improve their achievements in scholastic areas and to develop life skills and attitudes with reference to the context and canvas of life.

There are two terms in an academic year and in each term there is one Mid Term Examination and one Term End Examination. Marks of these four examinations – First Mid Term Exam (MT1), First Term End Exam (TE1), Second Mid Term Exam (MT2), Second Term End Exam (TE2) will be considered to earn a promotion to higher class (II to IX). Weightage of marks for MT1, MT2, MT3 and MT4 is 20%, 30%, 20% and 30% respectively.

80% of attendance in an academic year is compulsory for all students for promotion to the next class. Shortage up to 15% may be condoned on medical grounds.

The promotion list of students of classes I - IX and XI will be put up in the school notice board and on the school website in the first week of April. Results of students of class X & XII will be declared by the CBSE in May.
