Curriculum and Programme

The school has developed its own curriculum and programme by the expert and experienced faculty in accordance with the curriculum of the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi and prepares the students for AISSE & AISSCE Examination of the CBSE. The medium of instruction in all classes is English and value education is imparted to all students.

The school is divided into five learning groups

1. Pre- primary (LKG & UKG)
2. Primary (Class I-V)
3. Middle (Class VI-VIII)
4. Secondary (Class IX-X)
5. Senior Secondary (Class XI-XII)

PRE PRIMARY (LKG & UKG)

The curriculum for Pre Primary programme is developed by our own expert faculty to cater to the specific needs of young learners of age 4 to 6 years recognizing the fact that children need enriched environment, intellectual stimulation and plenty of opportunities for their overall development. It is a blend of Montessori and Kindergarten methods. It is a 2 year course comprising of LKG & UKG.
The programme focuses on laying foundation for the love of learning. It emphasizes on widening their cognitive, emotional, physical and social developments. It bridges the gap between the nurturing environment of home and the disciplined demands of a formal education.
At Apex, we create an atmosphere where children feel secure and respected. We help them develop self-esteem and confidence. Children are encouraged to think independently and work collaboratively. They learn through playing games, singing songs, listening to and retelling stories, clay modelling, painting, building blocks etc. in additions to the activities to acquire basic skills in literacy and numeracy. Various platforms are given for the self expression of their innate artistic skills

PRIMARY (Class I -V)

The curriculum for Primary school programme at Apex is designed by our own expert faculty in accordance with the CBSE curriculum to cater to the specific needs of young learners of age 7 to 11 years. It is a five year course comprising of Classes I to V . These are the foundation years of formal education where various skills and abilities are developed. Students are introduced to a formal learning environment where they have definite standards to achieve in terms of knowledge, skills and character. This programme helps students build competencies in communication skill, mathematical skill and enquiry based concepts in environmental studies.
English, Malayalam, Hindi, Mathematics, EVS, GK and IT are compulsory academic subjects and Arabic is optional. Arts, Sports, craft and other co curricular activities play a vital role in the personality development of the children. A variety of strategies and methods are used to ensure that all students have equal opportunity to learn. Using multi media enables the students to have concrete understanding of the topics.

MIDDLE (Class VI-VIII)

Middle school at Apex spans Grades 6 to 8. It serves as a bridge between elementary school and secondary school.
The curriculum is designed by our own faculty in accordance with CBSE curriculum and guidelines. The teaching and assessments consists of a comprehensive range of strategies that cater to the different learning styles of the students.
Learning, developing skills and moulding character take place through class room instruction, audio visual aids, hands-on activities, field trips and excursions, physical education, club activities and visual and performing arts, sports, cultural activities. Students have ample opportunities to explore, fine-tune, exhibit their talents and develop leadership qualities.

SENIOR SECONDARY (Class XI-XII)

Grades 11 and 12 are the most important years of a students life where decision regarding the choice of a career has to be taken. Aiming for excellence in academics with a focus on successful higher education to meet the demands of 21st century, our instructional practices are designed to provide the students with a framework for critical analysis, research skills, collaboration skills, social skills, emotional skills etc. in additions to giving
    deep knowledge in their academic subjects.
Subject combination: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and English.

ENTRANCE ACADEMY

Apex Entrance Academy is functioning fully for various Entrance Coaching formats. This wing is working exclusively for the students of Apex Public School and hence gives progressive units wise coaching according to the development of regular classes starting from XI itself. This in turn reinforces both academic and entrance ventures of the students. Motivation and confidence building exercises are an essential part of the schedule. The academy has a professional team of experienced and expert faculty spectrum. We have a good library all essential reference books and periodicals on the core subjects at the students’ disposal.
